Welcome! I'm Kayla, and I’m passionate about dance and teaching. As a mom of little ones, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing work and family, especially when evenings are spent away from home at the dance studio. That’s why I created Little Movers Dance Classes. A space where both children and their caregivers can thrive during the day!
I understand how important it is to have daytime options for families whose children are at home or unable to attend evening classes. My goal is to create a fun, nurturing environment where kids can explore dance, make friends, and shine! At the same time, I want caregivers to feel comfortable, make new connections, and bond with their little ones in a supportive, welcoming community.
I’ve been dancing since the age of 2, graduated with a BA in Dance from Western Michigan University, and have over 8 years of teaching experience. I’m passionate about sharing my love for dance with the next generation!
Each session is set between 4-8 weeks in length, so there’s no 10-month commitment! We hold mini shows at the end of each session, and for dancers who love being on stage, I also offer additional performance opportunities throughout the year. These special performances will have separate rehearsals and will be announced a few months in advance. Stay tuned for exciting events ahead!
With over 20 years of dance experience and as a stay-at-home mom, Suzey is passionate about creating exciting and creative experiences for the youngest dancers.
She grew up in the competitive dance world, continued her journey as a member of the Adrian Dance Team in college, and even danced professionally with the Cleveland Cavaliers. After starting her own family, Suzey returned to the studio to share her love of dance with children, inspiring them to grow both physically and socially through movement.
Taryn began dancing in 2017, training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tumbling, and more. Her journey has included competitive teams, professional intensives with Joffrey Dallas and Ballet Etudes, and performances in The Nutcracker.
She has trained in Modern, Ballet Folklorico, Pointe, Acro, and Contemporary, competing with Freedom Danceworks and United Dance Company, and even as part of an elite cheer team. Now in Michigan, Taryn trains with The Space Company, dedicating over 20 hours a week to prepare for the upcoming competition season.
Anna has been dancing since she was 2 ½ years old and loves all styles, especially lyrical. She is excited to assist in the Wednesday night hip hop class and share her passion for dance with younger students. Outside the studio, Anna enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and caring for animals. She dreams of joining a college dance team while pursuing a career as a doctor, veterinarian, or marine biologist!
